Haven't posted much as the shopping ban whilst going good has really killed my sense of everyday passion for fashion. However i just had to do a quick post about the most gorgrous LV clutch i got for my birthday from my wonderful boyfriend =)

Wheeeee happy birthday!!!

As an early birthday present to myself i finally got the Mulberry Bayswater bag in tan from netaporter as my new work bag. I was umm-ing and ahh-ing over it as one of my choices for a new work bag, i reallllly wanted a balenciaga but that is too out of my price range at the moment =(. Also the bag in tan sold out and then the black, which just increased my fervor to get the goddam bag!! So as soon as i saw the tan in stock again on wednesday night i snapped it up!

Though im kind of shitty because if i had just waited a few more days such as today i could have gotten it for cheaper as the exchange rate is improving astronomically! Damn! Oh well it's still a good exchnage and i saved 400-500 bucks compared to buying it in Australia!

Also i seem to have gotten over the daily blogging bug. I think it's a combination of being over my current clothes but not having the funds to buy new pretties and the fact that there's some stressful personal stuff going on in my life at the moment. I was thinking during the week if i still forced myself to post daily posts i might as well just change the name of my whole blog to just "rant rant rant!"

Changed!

So i actually changed the name of my blog as soon as i posted up my last post.

I have been wanting to change my blog title for a while as "bursts of pretty" is well, pretty, but kind of superficial and doesn't reflect what i want to put out into the blog world. Don't get me wrong i still love and will blog about my beloved pretty clothes but i do love a good rant about just the little stuff in life that shits me but i can't extactly yell about to everyone and anyone at the top of my lungs.

So "Pretty Clothes and Ugly Rants" is my new blog name that pretty much sums up the essence of my personal blog.

Here's to many more pretties and uglies in life!

Ranty rants

So pissy at my boyfriend at the moment. Even worse it's one of those secret pissed off so i cant even yell at him. Does that even make sense???

Relationships really are hard work! Sometimes i miss being single and ignorantly still believing that there was a "mr perfect for me" but we just hadn't met yet. I still think i am destined to be a lonely old dog spinster (I hate cats).

I have my boyfriend's credit card at the moment, feel like putting all my impluse online shopping purchases on it at the moment >=(

Haha my blog is the wierdest blog of pretty clothes and ugly rants, i think i may need to change the title of my blog.

ASOS goodies!

Yes yes i know just in my post last night i was ranting about the exchange rate, but then i saw on facebook the 20% off certain items on ASOS was ending at midnight so i couldnt help myself but place an order that has long been on my wish list and with great care sliced back to the following items. Staying home sick for two days is a dangerious thing for my credit card!!!

Anyways here are the following items i got!

Dresses - Tried to get dresses that could be worn for both work and play with a change of accessories, hair, make up etc. So excited for Spring to come now! All dresses had the 20% promo discount applied to them, so hard to resist discounts!









Basic skinny belts - muchly needed, plus i was able to use the 10pound discount on them so once again too hard to resist!





Cheapy shoes - these look super hot but super uncomfortable, but for 10pounds im sure i wont loose sleep over it!



Thank god im going back to work tomorrow! Though i maaaay be placing one more online order! lol

It's been another busy week and i haven't had time to blog proper outfit posts everyday or for that matter even take photos everyday. So above are some of my work outfit photos that have accumulated over the past week.

Im home sick today and was going to treat myself to shop online shopping at things i've been looking at foreverrrr, and what happens of course? The pound and US exchange rates have DROPPED! It's only around 2-4%, but still it really ruins the online shopping mood. Oh well good for my wallet right??

So tonight my boyfriend and i are going to have dinner at an eat all you want korean bbq, so i had to find a "stuff my self silly til fatty tum" top. I wouldnt usually take photos as i try on different clothes, but i decided to put in effort today in order to make up for my lack of outfit posts this week!

I had already decided on the style of my outfit, my H&M stretchy bandage skirt and a floaty top. Then it was just a matter of choosing a top! I decided on outfit three for two reasons, 1) it's a new top and who doesnt love wearing new stuff out, and 2) It was the last top i tried on a i couldnt be bothered changing again lol.

I actually got the top pretty much free as it was buy one get one free for sale items at GP at the moment. There's still some ok stuff so have a lookie!

Im going to be wearing it with my black leather ASOS jacket.

Catch up rambles

I've been a very bad blogger this week as not only is it my first week back at work but i've been busy pretty much every day in the evening after work. Im exhausted!

last night was really fun though, i went out with my girlfriends for dinner and clubbing. Dinner i went to with two girlfriends i've just started to re-connect with, and im really glad we are as we have so much history and it's so easy to slide back into our friendship and just chat away for hours easily. One of those friends has just gotten a new boyfriend, we have never ever seen her with a guy before, so it was really exciting to see her all lovey dovey over a guy. In all honesty when we had forced her to agree to a quick meet and greet with us before we went clubbing (he came to pick her up, as she skipped clubbing boooo!) i was sooo jealous. You know when you're in the beginning of a relationship and everything is still so new and exciting?? Well it was like that, she just had a GLOW about here and they were extremely sweet together even for those brief minutes we saw them together. Awww! After nearly three years in a relationship where i see my boy pretty much 6 days a week i miss those exciting times during the beginning of a relationship where everything is still new and exciting =)

As for clubbing! Welllll i think last night just pretty much confirmed i am way too old for this shit! lol. I did work the whole day beforehand and had a long week so maybe that added to my tiredness but i just could not keep it up for more then 2 hrs! I think it's also the club, it was quite a young crowd, at nearly 23 i felt shit old! But it was fun to be out with the girls dancing as we hardly do it anymore as a large group of us.

Also because this is my own little blog i just HAVE to vent about something. One of my oldest friends, who's always had issues is totally getting on my nerves. She's one of those ppl who does not have a lot of self confidence and is always try sooo hard to be "cool" and "hardcore", but thinking no one can see how hard she's trying. And if you even try and say something about it, lord you're in for a smackdown! Anyways in our close group of 4 girls we're all in long term relationships, the longest being 8 years to mine being nearly 3. We're all fairly settled, which i think at 23 and if you're happy with your partner you should be satisfied with. But i swear last night at every guy that came to dance with us that we would smile politely and reject as it was a "girl's night", she would continue talking to them and thrusting her tits at them and then of course she's all like omg these guys picked me up. Well duh of course they did since they got rejected by all the other girls in our group.
Why does she have such a need to show she's still got "it" but at the same time sooo desparate to show that she's in such a committed relationship just like the rest of us. It's like she wants everything so that she fits in yet at the same time to show she's one step above us cooler then shit. It's like please grow up and get a life you are happy with! I am just sick of it as she likes to act better and 'cooler' then us, yet has the most insecurities and issues that are clearly evident.
You know what would be cool? Get a proper job and stop supporting your midget loser boyfriend who you pay everything for and for god's sake eat some food so you don't have to be forced skinny to match all you're skinny friends!!!

Argh end rant.

On a happier note i was really happy with the beautiful Seduce dress i wore last night, i got it on sale for $60ish dollars down from $180! Unfortunately no photos as
i was too rushed during the morning and too tired when i came home =(

Belated outfit pic from yesterday as my net died on me last night. I have no outfit pics of today as my camera died on me this morning. Grrrrrr, hence the title of this post.

Had a play around with lighting for my monday outfit pics. Woke up so early as i was scared after a week of sleeping in i wouldnt wake up in time for my back to work time! lol

I think for close up pics no flash is necessary, but from afar it is needed for detail. However i hate how with flash it takes away the true colour of the clothing and gives it a very harsh look. or maybe i just have a shit camera lol.
