Royal Blue Date Night

Date night outfit! I got this gorgeous new silk scarf for 5 bucks(!) yesterday and i pretty much based my outfit around that.

Im pretty much head to toe in ASOS, as both the dress and leather jacket is from my beloved shopping site. Speaking of which i got the "VIP" 15% discount email. Grrrr major temptation. I already dedicated a whole hour today perfecting my save for later list. So much for the shopping ban!!






I find that the flash helps bring out the colours so much better, if only it wasnt such a photo killer in my mirror reflection photos.



It's so cold and rainy, very tempted to just stay huddled in bed all warm!

My new Veronika Maine dress! Im still trying to decide on the colour of the dress, i think it's a reddy pink but my boyfriend think's it's a definite pink!

Ok so im back to trying to post daily outfit posts as im back on a shopping ban and i really need a visual kick in the butt reminder about how much clothes i have!!!

Thankfully as it's getting brighter earlier and warmer it's not such a killer task before rushing off to work. So today i wore the following:

Quick rant - does anyone else find it impossible to find a new job??? Arghhh i keep whinging about my job but have to really kick my butt into gear into actually doing something about it. But so many rejections when i tried last time has got me disheartened already. I think i am qualified but it is just sooo damn hard putting it into words so that whoever reads my resume/cover letter believes that too! Grrrr

YUM Cha Outfit!

Quick outfit post as i wait for my boyfriend to pick me up for our Yum Cha lunch date! Very muchly needed as we had a very sad farewell at the airport last night. Yum Cha will be the perfect distraction! YUM YUM YUM!

Self made hot chocolate... pretty much half of it was just melted chocolate buttons i got from this Blue Mountains handmade chocolates shop. Sooooo much chocolatey goodness!



All the chocolatey goodies my friends got for my birthday with the leftover coins after spoiling me with t&co (i think i squealed more over the chocolates! haha)



The excitement of the airport and the knowledge that after months and months of planning your finally about to go on your muchly anticipated holiday!!!!



Singapore McDonald's breakfast menu! I hate Australia's McDonalds breakfast menu but OMFG the Sausage McMuffins at Singapore Mcdonalds was soooo good cos rather then beef patties it was chicken patties! I had two a day with 'help yourself' chilli sauce! It was my breakfast heaven!!



The food in Japan!!! I particularly love this shot because it was our first meal in Japan and it was from this little store where you ordered your food from a vending machine and then after you seated yourself down the waiters would come out with your food. It was an amzaing system! We pretty much bought all our food there with our leftover japanese coins. Im pretty sure in our 5 days in kyoto we had about 6 meals there. So good. I miss Japan!



Dinner at the rotating tower in South Korea, i think it was in Seoul. It was such a scary trip because the drivers in Korea are crazzzzy!!! But it turned out to be a beautiful night with great views, delicious (and superrr expensive!) food, and just a fun atmosphere! It was so wierd because i actually booked this before we left Australia, so to actually have dinner there 4 weeks later actually IN South Korea was a surreal experience!



We were in this little moutain village in South Korea, totally starving and cold and fearful of finding a way home because it was so remote and no one knew much english. However this old granny on her scooter flagged us down and took her into her house shop (i was scared me would be murdered!). It was just pieces of paper and stuck to the wall serving as their menu. We got this chicken dish because it had the word "chicken" underneath it lol. It was like AU$60 and we were like geeez what a rip, but when the dish came out it was like 2 whole chickens!!! We couldn't finish it all but we were close because it turned out to be the best damn home cooked chicken ever!!! It really actually made me homesick. Lol and i think we were seated in their living room because the granny came in and ate her lunch with us.



The Gucci cafe in Ginza. The hot chocolate was pretty much just a small cup full of melted chocolate!!! It was just such an experience dining there, The food itself was meh but the interior and the service was superior!!!







I love this picture, it's so serene and surreal in it's other wordly beauty. We found this lake that went on foreverrrr near the Jenolan Caves as we were just killing time before our tour. The colour and clarity of the lake is just magical.



Just going over my post i realised it pretty much as well be a post dedicated to food and my holiday. Haha i have to admit other then pretty clothes my passion in life is for delicious food food food!

Ahhh i feel happier already =)

... my boyfriend and i just broke up today.

Haven't posted much as the shopping ban whilst going good has really killed my sense of everyday passion for fashion. However i just had to do a quick post about the most gorgrous LV clutch i got for my birthday from my wonderful boyfriend =)

Wheeeee happy birthday!!!

As an early birthday present to myself i finally got the Mulberry Bayswater bag in tan from netaporter as my new work bag. I was umm-ing and ahh-ing over it as one of my choices for a new work bag, i reallllly wanted a balenciaga but that is too out of my price range at the moment =(. Also the bag in tan sold out and then the black, which just increased my fervor to get the goddam bag!! So as soon as i saw the tan in stock again on wednesday night i snapped it up!

Though im kind of shitty because if i had just waited a few more days such as today i could have gotten it for cheaper as the exchange rate is improving astronomically! Damn! Oh well it's still a good exchnage and i saved 400-500 bucks compared to buying it in Australia!

Also i seem to have gotten over the daily blogging bug. I think it's a combination of being over my current clothes but not having the funds to buy new pretties and the fact that there's some stressful personal stuff going on in my life at the moment. I was thinking during the week if i still forced myself to post daily posts i might as well just change the name of my whole blog to just "rant rant rant!"

Have a god saturday all! Im ging to an eat all you want style portugese bbq place, perrrrfect for a total meat lover like myself! YUMMM! Things are looking up people!!! hahaa =)

Changed!

So i actually changed the name of my blog as soon as i posted up my last post.

I have been wanting to change my blog title for a while as "bursts of pretty" is well, pretty, but kind of superficial and doesn't reflect what i want to put out into the blog world. Don't get me wrong i still love and will blog about my beloved pretty clothes but i do love a good rant about just the little stuff in life that shits me but i can't extactly yell about to everyone and anyone at the top of my lungs.

So "Pretty Clothes and Ugly Rants" is my new blog name that pretty much sums up the essence of my personal blog.

Here's to many more pretties and uglies in life!
