Dinner Date!

As most things were shut on boxing day i just had a quick date night with the boy that consisted of our usual dinner and movies combo. Even though it was a very casual affair i felt like dressing up a bit so i put on this old silk dress that i had forgetten how pretty it looked on and paired it with my favourite new necklace! I dressed it a bit down though with flats instead and an oversized cardi thrown on.

Merry Christmas everyone!!! I hope everyone is having a lovely time today spending it with their loved ones =)

Now that it's Christmas it means the new year is just around the corner! There are going to be some big changes in 2011 for me so im super nervous but going to try stay positive that all these changes will bring many good things!

Monday Ruffles & Pleats

I haven't posted my work outfits in a while just because i have been feeling quite uninspired by it all. But i thought today's outfit turned out pretty cute =). I love the ruffling and pleating on this top! It definitely looks better on then i last remember it being lol.

Wheee only 3 days of work left!

Lace & Print

Sorry for the multiple pictures of the same top above, but i just loooove it! Got it for a bargain $40 down from like $150 in one of the myers sales. Im so in love with the delicate lace detailing, the romantic fluttery sleeves, the summery white and the super relaxed fit of the top. Love i tell you! I can't wait til i get to style it in many more looks over summer =)

Today i went to my boyfriend's extended family christmas lunch so i tried to dress summery and festive, whilst still trying to look polished and casual - no easy task to find an outfit that ticks all that! But i think this outfit was a good enough fit for it, i certainly loved it so at least i felt comfortable in it!











Wheee christmas is just around the corner!!! =) What's not so exciting is the last minute christmas shopping i know im going to have to cram in this week =S

Sparkles on my shoulders

Love the amazing detailing on this tunic thingy - so pretty and sparkly!













Not only is the dress super pretty but it's also so comfortable to wear, especially when you know your about to have a big meal! haha =)






Just before i left i found it to be super windy outside so i added the stockings, which i ended up taking off later anyways. Also i added the waist tie thingy because it was just a bit too shapeless. I really loved how a simple piece of fabric tied around the waist really brought this look together!



The most amazing part about this tunic dress thingo??? It was only $15 and from KATIES!!! I think it was meant to be a tunic but i bought it 3 sizes too big so i could wear it as a dress tunic on my shorty frame. Haha yes i really have found some amazing sale stuff there!

Funny story - my boyfriend was with me when i bought it and because he has become brand biased he thought i wouldn't be able to "pull off a katies item" especially in front of my fashion savvy friends. Well tonight i got compliments from all my friends on how flowy and pretty it was and NONE of them guessed it was from katies! Which of course i kept as my own little secret haha.

I love pulling cheapo or affordable outfits with high end accessories, so i wore this $15 katies dress with my CL simples and Chanel jumbo =)



Also i see my followers have increased to 16 - Yay! Thanks so much for following guys =). I also noticed that a couple of the new followers are bloggers who i greatly admire for their sense of fashion and enviable wardrobe so it's a great honour you've shown interest in my little blog! =)

Orange Flutter

Excuse me for the weird lip biting pose above - it looks like im mouthless! lol.

On Saturday i got to wear my new Thurley dress which i purchased from the outnet. It was 55% off and a bargain at $175 plus free shipping which i can never ever resist! However the only downfall was that i had to shorten the dress and supposedly due to the fine silk it cost me $40!! Is this a normal price to shorten a silk dress or was i totally ripped of?? Im usually good at getting perfect length dresses so this was actually only the 2nd time i've had to get a dress professionally altered, and the first time it being of a silk material. Oh well overall the dress was still a bargain and i couldn't resist something so pretty, fluttery and perfect for summer =)

Also my boy was sooo sweet that day! He drove my friends and i into the city so i wouldnt have to train it in and then when he picked me up afterwards for shopping and movies he surprised me with this! =D



We then had a lovely time wondering the city and finally watched The Town with Ben Affleck (pretty good movie!), then had a yummilicious dinner at Tony Romas, and then take away dessert from lindt as we watched the free fireworks at Darling Harbour. Also after that we randomly ended up meeting up with my friends again in the city for karaoke! It turned out to be a beautifully fun and lovely Saturday =)

Purple blind

As the title suggests i think my camera s purple blind!!! I love love love the colour purple and this dress represents my favourite shade of purple, deep and rich purple. But my stupid camera wont capture it properly grrrr. Judge for yourself from the pictures below.

In real life the dress is suppose to be a deep purple, extactly the same shade as the cadbury wrapping colour yummmm! haha













I'm sure i've blogged this dress before, but i still cant get over the fact that found it in KATIES of all places!!! It was admittedly 15cms longer, but once that was chopped off it turned into a perfectly pretty young fun dress =)

I felt the dress might be a bit too dressy especially with the deep v neck, but i still really wanted to wear an easy throw on dress so i changed in to the dress below. It's a bit plain so i added a pretty glittery belt to jazz it up a bit =)

Haha and i know it's a complete rip off the Lover dress, but im too povo and tight to buy the real deal. Hoping to change that over the boxing day sales and invest in my first ever Lover dress! Fingers crossed!

Nautical Sunday

Another ASOS buy! I think the brand is called Dahalia. I've been looking for the perfect nautical summer dress and this dress pretty much fits the bill =). It's so fun and pretty to wear.
