OFTD - Blurriness to the max!

Ok so im trying to get back into the routine of taking daily OFTD pics in the morning, but omg the lack of lighting is a pain in the ass! I have to the picture of my outfit in the reflection of my full length mirror so i cant even use flash...GRRRRRR!!!

I would take it after work, but on most work days i go to the gym so im usually in gym clothes by the time i get home... or im just too tired to remember!

Anyways here's the pic.

Here is another pic where i have tried to adjust the lighting in crappy windows live gallery thingo.

Here's a close up of the detail, cutest bow ever. Sorry for the FLASH, i had to aim madly hoping i got the bow rather then my neck (which i did several times in fact!).

Pretty colours

So no OFTD post today as im still in my pj's all set for a lazy sunday!

I thought i'd go all arty and take some photos of my newest nail polishes with the imaginative background of my blog! lol.

One thing has become clear, my camera takes such blurry and useless pics even with all the sunlight in the world! I feel bad saying that as my bf got it for me as one of my many bday presents last year, but hey look at the blurry pics, i think it's definitely time for an upgrade soon.

Anyways pics of the nailpolishes!

Also i noticed some new followerd of my blog, thank you for the add ladies! Will definitely be checking out if you have blogs and will be adding it to my ever growing list of favourites!

Lack of sunshine in winter!

Sorry my little blog for the lack of updates rcently! Life has just been crazy busy! But most annoying is how early i have to get up to get good parking at the station, well not too early, around 6.45-50 and out of the house by 7-7.10. However due to the cold winter months, at this hour in the morning there is just no sunlight! Even when i turn on the lights the photos turn out blurry. I think the blurriness is also attributed to my severa rush syndrome in the mornings! But i really have missed blogging daily photos of my outfits =(

Well today i went shopping with my bf and as he was running late as usual to pick me up i had time to take some outfit pics!

Forever new skirt, ASOS tee, Zara leather jacket, Glassons scarf, Headband from Hong Kong

I love love love my new skirt, it has such a wintery feel with the awesomely cute velvet spots! I was lemming this skirt sooo much from witchery but the other week found a copy of it from forever new on sale! Unfortunately it's a bit too short so will probably only be appropriate for winter with stockings, unless i magically loose my stumpy legs my spring/summer! lol.

Also love the my scarf, it is the prettiest colour and print, brings out the super girlie in me! =)

Also some pics of the awesome headband one of my bestest friends who knows me too well got for me from HK! Love love love! Sorry for the blurriness of the pictures!

Well it's mid season sale time and before June even hits i have spent 50% of my shopping budget for sales! =( boooo! Oh well i spent 2/3 of my shopping money today on essential new underwear, boring but neccessary, so i feel almost like i did "productive" shopping haha.

Hope everyone's enjoying the sales as they roll in!!!

OFTD - Rainy Tuesday

Today was sooo cold, dark and rainy! A miserable day to go into work, however would have been absolutely perfect weather to have snuggled into my warm bed and sleep in. I love winter because i get to layer up and the warmth of my bed in cold winter nights, but grrrr i hate it when it's time to face the cold early in the weekday mornings.

Also it's getting harder and harder to get a clear pic of my outfits in the morning as it's getting darker and darker! Sorry for the horrid blurry pic, but THAT was the best out of 10 odd photos!

I love this grey cardi i got from Korea, it's so cute and super warm surprisingly. Funny story, because of the way the bows and pearls were stitched on i.e. very badly, and there was no label my bf and i assumed that it was handmade and thus one of a kind. However a few weeks ago as i was walking around burwood after dinner around 9pm i come across this little korean store that was still open. Lo and behold there was my so called one of a kind cardi, but in white! There were sooo many other cute cardis and clothing there that i thought i would never see again outside of Korea. However my excitement was soon dashed when i found that the cardi was selling for around $110 when i had gotten the exact same thing in Korea for $45! And even back then i thought the cardi was overpriced for its quality. The Korean dresses i loved so much, and i had purchased overseas for around $50-$80 each were priced here for $150-$300! Oh well even if i dont buy their overpriced clothing i would still love to have a wander around there again to take me back down memory lane of my beautiful trip overseas.

Weekend!

Sorry no outfit piccies for you my little blog, as i spent the whole weekend in pretty much old jeans, old t-shirts, hoodies and old boots. I was a dag fest but at least i was super warm!

For the weekend my bf and some friends headed down to Dubbo to do the overnight "Roar n' Snoar" overnight camping experience at the Dubbo Western Plain Zoo! It was heaps fun but at the same time i don't think im a camping girl at all! It's funny because one of the girls on thr trip, who was one of my friend's cousin visiting form canada, goes camping a lot back home with her friends and when she saw our ready made tents she called it "luxury camping". I can tell you i found nothing luxurious about the experience! But it was definitely fun and i would love to go again in a couple of years to do it again. Though i will NOT be looking forward to the5.5 hrs drive down again!

Took the day off as im feeling exhausted and sickly, but i think i will be good to go back to work tmr. Have no idea what im wearing this week!

OFTDsss - Sorry blog!

Thursday

Friday

Sorry for the neglect my little blog, had some news yesterday that is mixed, good and bad. I feel it will have a long term effect and i wasn't and still am not quite sure how to deal with it. I feel like the time ahead will be a test, and was feeling all kinds of emo yesterday feeling that i would most defintely fail this "test". Things are a bit brighter today, it's true what they say, you should sleep on it and things will look up again tomorrow.

I wish i a child again where the biggest things in life was what was happening with Captain planet and sailor moon! Having to grow up and deal with "adult" stuff in an "adult" and "mature" way sucks!

OFTD and the first of the Dress Challenge!

So today was the first of my Dress Challenge! This challenge for myself means i have to wear a dress once every week to work, and i have already chosen 8 dresses to be worn over the next 8 weeks. The reason i have created this challenge for myself is because i am trying to grow my collection of dresses, which is my current wardrobe expansion aim, however i realised i already have plenty of pretty dresses that i have only worn once and never again. Thus that's why i feel like i am always lacking dresses! So to feel less guilty and also to actually put into use rather then just hoarding my growing collection of dresses, i am forcing myself to style a different dress a week for work for the next 8 weeks.

Don't get me wrong, it's not like i never wear my dresses, in fact on most weekends my staple are dresses, however i dont think my dresses should only be saved for the weekend, especially since the majority are not "party" dresses and could easily be styled into work appropriate dresses with a bit of effort and planning. As it has been grounded into us during the GFC by fashionistas all over that our clothes should be able to do "double duty". So true! It saves money, makes maximum usage out of your clothes, gets you creative with your clothes, and surprisingly is a very fun challenge!

So the first dress i chose to wear for the challenge was a cheap dress i got from Katies back in January this year. I got the dress shortened and wore it for my boyfriend's birthday party back in early February. Since then it has not been touched! Which is a waste for such a nice dress! For my boyfriend's birthday party i wore just the dress with a light tan belt, tan heels, and a pretty silk flower pinned to one side of my hair. For work i layered it up because it's winter and also more importantly to make it more work appropriate!

Although i must add the challenge did not go off very well today as the awful combo of my dress plus stockings created awful static! It was so embarassing as it kept clinging to me in the most unflattering and inappropriate way! I tried hairspray and dampening my stockings, however the relief from static was only very temporary. I think it's because the dress is unlined (it is a cheapy!), and when i last wore it in summer it was without stockings so i didnt have the static problem. Oh well lesson learnt, and i will avoid unlined dresses with stockings for the rest of my dress challenge!

The following pictures are how it turned out.

I have really started to like blogging, before it seemed like way too much effort but i gave it a go since so many people have blogs and i love love love looking at them and they seemed to enjoy it so much. I thought about it today and here's a break down of why i love blogging so much at the moment:

1) It allows me to catalogue my wardrobe
Since i am on a neccessary shopping ban at the moment, it is easy to get depressed over a "lack of clothing", which really is rather a lack of "new" clothing rather then any form of clothing. Being able to posts my outfits each day makes me realise i have heapsss of clothes, and clothes that i have collected over years and i actually love but have forgotten about once worn. However blogging helps me remember my clothes and how much i like them. Also this helps decrease my depression over my shopping ban and surpress my need to shop as im too busy playing around with my current clothes!

2) Blogging is like a soothing diary
When i mean "diary" i don't mean as in a personal diary where i spill my intermost secrets and thoughts, after all you have to keep in mind once you put words or pictures onto the internet it's there forever. But blogging does let me write up things that interest me and is a little space where it's all about me me me =). Also i love that pictures can be added to give a visual of what im talking about.

At first the fact that no one really seemed interested in my blog as apparent by lack of followers demotivated me to blog regularly. But reading the comments on Vogue forum about the nasty comments that some voguettes with more popular blogs get makes me realise im lucky that i dont have people pressing on their opinions about what my blog should and should not contain. Since i don't have to worry about people's opinions i can keep the blog extactly to my personal preferences. For example i know that i have wayyy too many photos of my outfits, i mean who cares if the same outfit is in natural light or with lights on or has a damn scard added, but I care and i like seeing the various pictures of my outfit. So i really like how the lack of exposure allows me to make the blog feel more personal for me, which really makes me enjoy blogging without worry.

3) Adapting the theme of the blog to what im interested in
As it has become apparent, and touches the above points, i have started to make the blogs about my outfits. I really enjoy catalouging my outfits through my blog as i love clothes and i love that i have been able to start to build a wardrobe that clearly represents my style. Being able to keep an almost archive like blog of outfits and being able to add to this really appeals to me. I even look forward to coming home and blogging as it's about MY outfits and something IM interested in.

So that's all for now, hopefully my passion for blogging doesn't end too shortly, im sure it will fade over time but i would really love to see it grow so i can look back on it almost as a piece of work for my enjoyment.
